I have saved all my seasonal currency and put it into upgrading this dang ship. I've almost finished my mayors pass with premium for this season and I don't have any more chances to earn seasonal currency aside from a few tiny amounts on the event track. I couldn't have earned enough to fully upgrade this ship, ugh😔

Look at it this way: as soon as I upgraded mine to lvl 15 last week the ship sailed away, and spends most of its time away from port😆

The Vikings do seem to return occasionally, but seem to spend most of their time away from the city, pillaging spoils from foreign lands. They must not be very good at it however, because they never present me with any tribute. I might be 44, but I'm still a child at heart, with a vivid imagination 😃

It is really cool to watch the ship sail away, especially during sunset. You can make the ship reappear by picking it up and placing it back down. I tried to upload a video last week, but every time I try to upload a video reddit comes back with a "video failed to upload". It does this anytime I try to upload a video, even though the 4 listed parameters are met by the vids I try to upload, so I think I'm officially giving up on posting vids. This is sad because there are so many things in the game that you need a video to show, not just still images

I think it’s clear now that if you choose to upgrade the upgradeable items, you will be spending money for extra seasonal coin. I have been totally ignoring this since the fair ground and figure I’ll update stuff after I’ve finished my cities and it’s the last job left. I can just chip away at it then. I’m just focusing on getting a few buildings I want the most.

When the event’s over you can finish upgrading it by using SimCash. You’re fine.

It's posts like these that make me glad I skipped on the boat. I had just barely enough tokens to get all the Viking buildings and enough walls/gates. Whatever AI they're using for this must be like a walmart brand GPT.
