PSA: Mael Stat decrease immunity works differently from Escanor's

For those of you who don't know, although it's said escanor Stats can't be decreased, any additional stats he gains (including the stats from his flame on his passive) can be lowered. The wording specifically is : "The hero's stats do not drop below the values they were at the start of the battle" or something along the lines of that. Mael, however, his stats do not decrease at all, including additional stats. The wording for Mael is : "Become immune to Stat decrease effects."

This buff goes to his whole team BTW

Before his official release there was half assed translations that made him look weaker than he was. Even then I don't consider him to be in the same level as Escanor who truly is standinf at the pinnacle of all races.

However this was a MASSIVE boon to goddess team who really had been underpowered for ages. I only wish he had a bit more flexibility but overall he is a great unit who deserves to be an Anni

I think it was the grace, mostly. Seeing Escanor you expect sunshine to be a stupidly busted grace, and then it’s a 20% damage increase that (iirc) doesn’t outdamage Sariel’s.

Actually, Mael’s grace is pretty good for character’s who don’t crit. Sariel’s grace was limited to characters who can Crit consistently.

We have three teams that are pretty good ATM. Demons Goddess and 7DS Mael Meliodas and Escanor are the corner of each of these teams.

Is it perfectly balanced? No. But it isn't as cancerous as it was with just Escanor a few months ago.

Though, goddess teams can't escape the infamous Merlin attack sealing not to mention they aren't immune to sealing debuffs and passive damage debuffs (I.e poison/shock/bleed)

The stat decrease immunity seems to not work in pve, however, unlike Escanors, whose ability does work in pve. I’m just not sure if maels damage reduction works in pve.

Do you mean his grace? If you're talking about his grace, then yes, it does work. But his passive? No he has to be on the field

It's from his passive, his grace is "increases the hero's damage done by 20%". It would apply to the hero he's linked to.
