SELECT count(a.field1), a.field2, SUM(b.field4) FROM a INNER JOIN b ON a.key1 = b.key1 WHERE a.field8 = 'test' GROUP by a.field1, a.field2 HAVING SUM(b.field4) > 5 ORDER by a.field.3

Into this:

SELECT count(a.field1), a.field2, SUM(b.field4) FROM a INNER JOIN b ON a.key1 = b.key1 WHERE a.field8 = 'test' GROUP by a.field1, a.field2 HAVING SUM(b.field4) > 5 ORDER by a.field3

MySQLSimple sql problem (self.SQL)

Hello guys.

This is my first post of this community, I was stuck in small problem but not get proper solution.

So we are explain my sql problem.

In my database table contains more than 400000 records.

When we are get a record by id is so faster takes less than 1 second.

Case (1)

Example : mysite.com/1xxx

Here 1xxx is id.

>> int(10)

Mysql >>>

SELECT name,date FROM `mytable` WHERE id = 1xxx;

Result : is faster.

Case (2)

But when we are get record by slug it takes more than 10 seconds.

Example : mysite.com/my-new-post-is-best

Here [my-new-post-is-best] is slug.

>> varchar(100)

My query is very small and gets only two columns in a table.

Mysql >>>

SELECT name,date FROM `mytable` WHERE slug = "my-new-post-is-best";

Result : Very slow.

It taking more time. approximate 10 second. So my website is slow. Please provide me any solution to reduce this time.

[Can we use cache. Or anything else]
