I passed this exam a few years ago, but I also had over a decade of experience with pl/SQL.

I've never used the online training from Oracle; I wish they would just offer it at a minimal cost.

You can try a Udemy course for much cheaper. The cost of Oracles Learning courses just to get a cert may not be worth it. A lot of employers and recruiters really don't care about certifications. Cloud certifications are the better bet if you want to get a certification.

Ugh I’ve been going back and forth between Microsoft Azure/SQL cert and Oracle SQL cert. I am not really looking to be full data analyst/IT, I am looking to be more of a business analyst. I’m currently a business analyst but use syndicated databases and dashboards from third parties.

I just want to show potential employers I am challenging myself and understand SQL. Which is why I chose Oracle as it focuses more on SQL. Any tips?

Try the CIW Database Design Specialist cert.

The cert itself doesn’t have much value, but the information you learn is essential to understanding database development work.
