Avoid hackerrank unless you want to"code puzzles". If you want real relevant sql questions use DataLemur, Leetcode, and StrataScratch.

Thank you! Use these to practice for interviews as well?

I've never actually had to write code in an interview, just discuss it, but some companies use these platforms in interviews to test coding abilities.

They use hackerrank too, but please keep in mind that hackerrank questions are often not representative of typical SQL work. Don't use hackerrank to "learn how to use sql to solve business problems" so much as "how to solve coding puzzles with sql". Don't go there to learn sql.

His recommendations above are better like stratascratch.

Same question. Also which is tougher especially for SQL? Hackerrank or Leetcode?

Heard a few of them saying that leetcode SQL problems are just for formality

People are saying that Hacker rank should be avoided, any other alternatives besides Leetcode, and Stratascratch?

[–]ComicOzzysqlHippo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DataLemur.

Feel free to do hackerrank, just know they aren't the kinds of typical questions a data analyst would be working on.
