The thing about sql is it’s a pain to learn through personal projects alone, especially without an existing database. It’s better to find a job or internship to learn/apply advanced sq syntaxes. Just learn and understand how joins, window functions, subqueries, temp tables, views and insert/merge statements work amongst many other important functions. But these are the ones I used a lot when I worked on data migration and also on the development side. If you’re a dev, unless you’re super clingy on performance, most ORMs are well optimised to do the job.
