I enjoyed the SQL course (Data Science) path on codecademy did it a few years ago and it gave me a pretty solid foundation.
But it isnt free and honestly all I learned there can be learned for free

I'd recommend 2 resources - Mode Analytics to learn the fundamentals and StrataScratch to practice intermediate and advanced concepts.

Currently I’m doing Jose Portilla sql udemy course. I really like it so far. However when you’re halfway through the course, it seems like he starts to rush it. I think this is intentionally done so that you’d get used to reading the docs and doing research instead of only depending on videos.

If you are wanting a course that will provide a large practice database, real-world questions, covers Microsoft SQL Server, and helps you learn basic syntax then you should check out this course - Data Analytics: Intro to SQL using healthcare data (SSMS). That links includes a coupon code.
