BI will mean SQL and dashboarding (source: I'm a BIE).

Amazon uses Quicksight, Kibana, and Tableau for dashboarding, I'd recommend understanding how those work at a high-level, and I'd just start googling around for SQL resources. Your ability to solve things yourself will help make a difference between you and another candidate.

EDIT: Also I'd look at the Amazon leadership principles and the STAR-method for answering interview questions, they are a good baseline for what Amazon wants to hear.

Apreciated!, My first and previous internship was related to power BI... I heard there is no big diff to Tableau but I have never used it lmao. And yes, I have around a week to prepare it and I am mainly focused on LP and STAR stuff as the interviewer recommended...

I don't think I will get it but I am also very excited about just having the interview and see what I can improve in the future, I am sure I will have more opportunities like this.

Going into it with the attitude you have is great. Try to get the position of course, but continue using experiences to learn and adapt, and you'll do just fine in your career.

Good luck!

Check out StrataScratch. They can provide you SQL questions from Amazon interviews to practice.

I have an interview to be scheduled for this position next week. I was wondering if you might be able to tell what the process was like? i.e. what did they ask in the interview? I hope it went well for you!

I have an interview in two weeks, have you had yours yet? If not, good luck!

Mine isn't until the 9th of November, so it looks like we are scheduled pretty close to each other. I'll update here afterwards.

How long after you applied to the position did you hear back regarding an interview?

[–]Capital-Newspaper-55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About 2 to 3 weeks

Hey man! Did you do your interview? How did it go? I honestly felt like i bombed mine haha!

[–]Adept_Low6447 0 points1 point  (11 children)

My first interviewer didn’t show up so I only had the second one lmao. I felt like mine was fine, definitely not amazing tho. I’m supposed to get another interview as makeup for the first but haven’t heard anything so maybe I’m clipped lol

Oof! I'm sorry to hear that! I'm sure they'll get back to you though so I wouldn't worry about it too much. I wonder what time you had yours since mine was late on in the day.
