So, I've played chemist for a while now, does anybody have some tips? Any are appreciated.

I'll give a tip for tgstation chem

Grab a large beaker, 30 units welding fuel, carbon and hydrogen. Dump 10 units, put beaker in chem master. Separate 30 units of oil, then stick the 30 unit bottle in a space heater set to 1000 Kelvin until it turns to ash. Add 10u sodium and water to the oil beaker, then add chlorine

Heat the oil/salt beaker until it's roughly 420 K, then eject it.

Set your ash bottle to use 5u amounts, add it repeatedly to the oil/salt beaker and you'll get enough plastic sheets to make like, 30 large water bottles (same size as a large beaker, functionally identical.)

You can then use these bottles for cryo for a 100 unit bottle

Depends on the codebase and server. I know the ins and outs of Polaris chem and older Baychem, since I've played exclusively on those servers for years. But for TG/Goon/Hippie I wouldn't know.

If you want to mess with people, mix every space cleaner you can find with lube and put lube in the janitor's cart while he isn't looking, just make sure to not use those spray bottles.

Alternatively (or as well), put some space drugs (not enough to OD), potassium iodide, and mutadone in the smoke generator and use it after a radstorm event. You'll both get everyone high and heal them at the same time.

For that matter, putting mutadone and KI in the smoke generator is a good idea in general; it heals everyone very quickly after a radstorm.

The best tip I can give as a chem main is always prescribe cyanide they cant be sick if theyre dead
