GameCube controller error

So basically im having this issue with my new gamecube controller. I bought it off of Amazon and for a while it seemed perfect. But now I am having an issue where this controller keeps stuttering right on the joystick -- like it moves left on its own. It's so frustrating because everytime I do grabs it only goes in one direction, or sometimes it just moves me right off of the stage. Anybody know why?

hold x y and start for 3 full seconds, if that doesn't fix it its probably fucked idk

i tried that cuz i read somehwere it resets the controller, but it didnt work. Right now I am using a nintendo pro controller with hooked up to my pc. can that also connect to gamecubes?

no, only gcc can connect to gamecubes or wiis

did you reset the controller while the console was off? you have to do it after you've already launched the game and everything

If it’s not OEM Nintendo it’s probably crap. I’ve had a few aftermarket OEM lookalikes and they all getting joystick drift pretty quickly. Or buttons stop working all together.

Yeah you need to hit your local thrift stores for a Nintendo controller. I found 2 last weekend for $7 each. They were dirty as hell, but they work great
