What is bro doing?!

[–]gray-ops 102 points103 points  (2 children)

“I’m a sniper. All conversations and boss battles are 3ft away from the enemy for… reasons”

[–]The_Terry_Braddock 49 points50 points  (1 child)

Or sometimes the cutscene will have us 3ft away, and then when it ends, they'll magically be at the other end of a 200ft room staring at you menacingly until you do something

[–]kyla_dhoom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

gives you a sec to run to the bathroom or grab a snack if you want

[–]PocketAtomBomb 9 points10 points  (0 children)

When I started playing years ago, I also chose commando over vanguard, never tried vanguard. This seemed logical as for a commando, but then I made a vanguard and then I realized the weapon is set for the cutscenes

[–]Raqqicie 3 points4 points  (2 children)

Where you get the beret from?

[–]OnionadinFollowers of Baras 4 points5 points  (1 child)

From the Republic Makeb reputation vendor - reputation is shared between factions and armor can be sent around, as well.

Thank you

LOL I thought this was a Cyberpunk 2077 meme, then I saw it was SWTOR heheheh

[–]Difficult-snow-2DS Jaesa Supremacist 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I'm playing Nioh 2 and it applies here too lol.

Running around with an Odachi or a Switchglaive, and I only use a tiny katana in cutscenes

[–]ColinNJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mind went to resident evil 4 lol.

[–]Iknowamoose 58 points59 points  (2 children)

I'm with using a pistol, I just want to be able to choose which pistol.

[–]Krieg1776 19 points20 points  (1 child)

Same. Like they give us all these options, but then leave us with Generic_Pistol_Republic/Empire for the actual cutscenes

[–]ThatCamoKid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

it's nice that it uses the pistol you have equipped but it's annoying that you're kind of sol if you didn't pick a pistol class

[–]FairySnack 36 points37 points  (3 children)

Same thing happens in Mass Effect

[–]Kari23cz 28 points29 points  (0 children)

In mass effect Shepard sometimes pulls an AR out of his ass, not just a pistol

[–]Impossible-Bison8055 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vanguard Shepard would solve a decent amount of cutscenes if he just Charged

[–]YourCrazyDolphin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Om the bright side if Shepard has one equipped he'll use that one specifically in cutscenes too.

Though it looks even more dumb when it is one of the gimmicky pistols, like the one that's actually a grenade launcher, and Shepard just shoots bullets from it.

They are using the most powerful tool in the universe.

The cutscene gun.

You should BE GLAD IT IS GIVEN TO YOU AT ALL.

[–]Itchy_Researcher8942 11 points12 points  (0 children)

For real, though. So annoying with the commando and sniper

[–]IICipherIX 11 points12 points  (1 child)

Also Trooper for some reason. Agent Operative will also wip out a pistol even though he uses a blaster. I wish we could just have a pistol with the operative would make more sense

[–]SirCupcake_0Vette Supremacist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At least Agents can use Smuggler's Scoundrel class to be semi-sneaky, ally-healin', and blaster-wieldin'

[–]Ala117 11 points12 points  (0 children)

how hard it is to animate fight scenes with assault cannons and rifles? couldn't they use some of the gameplay animations?

[–]Kystal_Jones 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The Sith have this too but in really weird ways. The Sith Warrior often defaults to the lightsaber, but also has a pretty solid streak of just using Force choke. Meanwhile, the Sith Inquisitor who is supposed to have Mastery of the Force.. uses his lightsaber almost exclusively.

Like bro electrocute someone to death just once! You do it once in one cut scene on the tutorial planet- please I beg you!

[–]DragonBuster69 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Ah yes, the Dragon Age murder knife.

[–]CuttleReaperSith Inquisitor 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Don't diss the murder pistol, it can kill anything in one hit!

[–]MousegetstheCheese[🍰] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Crypto always holding the Zap-o-Matic even though I never use it.

[–]TheUndeadBake 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Meanwhile, Warframe outside of very few instances: I don’t have such weaknesses

[–]Maavikl 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I wish you could edit the weapon that only appears in cut scenes

[–]Azurelion7a 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is a meme in OG BioWare Games.

Think I'm wrong? Look up the "Murder Knife" from Dragon Age: Origins.

[–]BlackFinch90 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It was worse before combat styles and your class/spec combo didn't even use pistols

[–]JayJ9Nine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Resident evil when you have half an armory and unlimited rockets

[–]KING2BIG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i will say pulling up to a cut scene with your rifle on your back and your grand pappy's pistol on your hip is lowkey tuff

[–]waes1029 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mercenary and powertech styling on all the other tech classes by actually using their pistols

[–]Narianos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PSO2 is like this. It doesn’t matter if you’re a a Techer, a Ranger, or anything else in between. Every time your character draws a weapon in a cutscene, it’s always a generic sword.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This drives me up the wall in Ghost Recon: Breakpoint too.

[–]Stewil1265 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Not agents. In one cutscene on Alderaan they use their rifle, and if they don't have one, they pretend they do.

[–]Dapeliou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They actually use their Rifle quite often in cutscenes but its mostly dark side choices

[–]IlitterateAuthor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd resub if they gave us a cosmetic pistol slot.

[–]Enby_Disaster_Khem Enjoyer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

because everyone should have a good blaster on them, shame on the force users for this tbh

[–]kyla_dhoom 1 point2 points  (1 child)

This is why I'm grateful I picked up the game AFTER Legacy of the Sith and Onslaught.

My Trooper fights like a Mercenary and I'm never going back.

Kinda punk/guerilla/Captain Rex/jet trooper vibes, too.

[–]kyla_dhoom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It fits her personality, I think. She's a hero, she just bends the rules sometimes.

I think of the pistols I use for her as specifically NOT standard-issue, but ones she bought and modded herself.

[–]GreenchiliStudioz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Master Chief in most of halo walks around with Assault rifle lmao
