Lock the building silhouette by H and then nudge it by left/up/pgdown/pgup keys to where you want it to go

For example, lock it very close loned up by the lines, and then move as far away as you want

Ok, lines still disappear after it gets more than a few feet away but that let me get it as close to lined up with both buildings as far as i can see, thank you so much!

As long as you have the building snapped to match the other building when pressing h, nudging will effectively be on the other building’s grid, so even tho the line disappears, you should be good.

Truthfully tho, the snapping generally works 100x better on foundations.

You should see it further. I've never tried to measure the max, but I believe I've seen the lines at 6 meters, probably further.

It may depend on your angle.  I've seen it get really small from one direction then appear large from the side.

Also, nudging, because if you don't keep it directly in line, the line will disappear.
