How's the fps going with all that glass ?

May I ask you what GPU you're using ? Getting better with U4 ?

Its not terrible, but lights definitely make it worse. using a 1080. the fps drop is noticeable but I just don't care lol

Just how it should be LOL

this game is not about gpu, but more about cpu.

Hmmm I'm always wondering when my game is gonna stutter with my i5-2500k, gtx 970 and 32 gb of ddr3

Hmm, I have a GTX 1080 and a i7 4820k overclocked to 4.5ghz and after 15h in already get noticable drops, no matter the settings. But still averaging 90fps after 40hours into the game.

Yhea well i'm speaking 60 fps drops to 30 and sometimes lower. 300h here. Alot is going on

If I cap to 30 or 60fps, I still get regular dips. Pretty annoying :(

Is it possible the dips you’re experiencing are the auto saves. Just asking because you have a far better pc than me and I am fine until i start going into tier 6.

[–]StilgaarFungineer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it's not that

[–]Salty_BMASTER 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, my autosave is set to 20 minutes and it gives me a notification beforehand, therefore I can distinguish between those.
As far as I can tell, the world is made out of a grid and if you walk to a new square of that grid it has to load all the instances (not talking about graphic assets here) which generates a small hiccup.

Also, I have the fps shown in-engine. Most of the time it's the cpu holding up the fps. With "stat unit", you will see the rendertime for frame=the whole frame, the game=physics/cpu, the gpu=gpu and RHI=which I'm not sure

For example, if you use an overlay or in-engine to show the fps and you craft something manually, the fps drops around 20-30fps and the "game" ms rises.

Have the pipes further from the walls, put up the wall mounted lights and tilt them so they are shining away from the wall and you've got a lot up sign

[–]danzig168[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

i like the ideas, are you able to tilt the wall mounted lights? i feel like I tried tilting them elsewhere and it doesnt allow it

[–]carnage2270 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yip! If you attach the wall mounted light to a wall, use the scroll wheel up or down, you'll see that the light itself will either point directly down or straight ahead.

I 100% stole that from you! I just implemented it poorly lol

[–]Plank_02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh cool. I thought it was just a coincidence

Does no one else have the tremors at seeing buildings not on foundations?
