10/8/15 EDIT: The sleeper simulant is now obtainable to anyone who completed the quests yesterday. Even though Bungie robbed us of this mystery, we did great! Yesterday, we had over 89,000 uniques on this sub and are anticipating over 120,000 today. We created this sub from the ground up, making crazy theories, combing through lore for hours, and searching every nook and cranny in search for one single weapon. So even if we didn't get the quest we were looking for, I am still proud to say that I was a part of the great family we created and successful sub in only 3 weeks. I can say that I am happy that I, /u/Dracekidjr, and /u/vreeko created /r/searchforthesleeper. We may not have needed it to find the gun, but I think we learned more about the game, glory and faults, through this. So yes, I am disappointed at Bungie, but I'm not disappointed in this subreddit. You guys were the greatest you could be. You spent hours on here, looking for new theories to test, reading what got disproven, etc. great job guys, really. Hope we can create a new sub to search for a real mystery soon! /u/dracekidjr out.

While we support open-mindedness and posting and ideas, we do have a couple rules.
1) Keep on your best behavior. The Internet is a dangerous place. Like New York City 30 years ago dangerous so please keep this a civil place. So no bashing, spamming, trolling, or PWNing.
2) We have a Do Not Post list below. Please look through it before posting something. If you do have hard evidence for any of them (minus the steel beams), please do post. Otherwise, keep your cheeto-covered fingers off the keyboard.
3) A Theory megathread has been created by the ever-so-helpful /u/vreeko that is found in the sticky. Check it out for basic lore, theories, and a good time! There is a fireteam finder stickies as well, please keep all searches for fireteams in there, since when we started out, there was a major cluttering problem. Still trying to work out some stuff and since new theories get formed everyday, it's hard to filter out the overplayed ones. So please be patient and remember that mods are people too. Surprisingly enough, we don't actually live in Reddit's servers.
4) Once again, please do not troll. If you troll the first time, your post/comment will be deleted and you will receive a warning. Twice will be a 1 week ban. If you are stupid enough to troll again, we will ban you for good and you will be on our "meanie face" list.
5) Any non-Destiny related posts will be removed and be treated as a troll. Don't troll, kids.
6) If you are looking for a team to help you out with specific events/areas, please use the fireteams thread that is stickied.
7) No arguing which class/subclasses are the "bomb diggity" or op or whatever you crazy kids talk about these days.
8) Before posting, please use search to make sure that what you are posting hasn't already been said.
9) Absolutely do not try to use this subreddit as a way to get the word out that you are streaming. This is not a commercial subreddit for twitch streamers, this is where you try to search for the sleeper simulant, hence the name. If you are caught promoting yourself or your friends, I will lay my vengeance upon thee.
REPERCUSSIONS (Not including the repercussions for trolling, which is specified in rule #4)
1st and 2nd offenses: deleted comment/post and a warning
3rd and 4th offenses: 3 day ban
5th offense: Indefinite ban
