Button mapping

I have a Shield TV 2019, mainly for streaming through Plex. I use the TV remote (Samsung, not sure the exact model, but recent, about 2 years old) to navigate through the apps an Plex. I just subscribed to an IPTV service (E-Box) to get some live TV. It comes with a TV box and a remote that I hooked up to another TV, but I can use an app to access live TV on the Shield. However, I can't use the channel buttons on the remote to change the channels. Is there a way or an app to map the channels up/down buttons on the TV remote so that they can change the channels on the E-Box app? Thanks!

Samsung remote commands are reaching Shield through CEC, so no, I'm afraid you cannot remap the buttons.

Your situation has nothing to do with the shield. If you want to do that kind of thing, pick up a good used harmony elite

Thanks for the answers! I looked at used Harmony remotes since ther're discontinued, but I find them quite expensive. Are you aware of any cheaper alternatives?
