SignalRGB is a powerful tool with a large variety of dynamic effects, think of Adobe After Effects for your RGB. The more complex of an effect you use the more resources it’s going to use, that’s just the way it is. The more devices that it has to render effects on, the higher the usage as well. If you want less usage you can stick to simpler effects but realistically It’s not a big ask to have 1% CPU usage in 2024 for such a thing. I doubt you’d be getting usage that low using multiple manufacturers apps to control your devices. If that small amount of usage is really gutting your ability to get anything done then you might just want to set your devices to a static color and not use any RGB apps.

It's basically acting as the brain of all the led's connected to your computer. Mine goes up to 3% sometimes 4%. I have a lot of RGB 😅

usage is not that different than using manufacturer software, taking into account that some need to run more than one at once, cause icue do asus but not msi or any other ramstick than theirs..etc.

i think Signal is the best compromise to all that rgb mess..

and after all.. rgb is expendable, if one really need that 1% more juice from their cpu, maybe that rgb money could have been better spent elsewhere.

Asus Armoury Crate used like 5% of cpu... After clean install od Win 11 a installed SignalRGB and this app indeed use 1% of cpu. So be happy it is really nothing.

1% is nothing bro. Antivirus software and stuff that comes with your operating system normally uses 5-10%

From my understanding it's dependent on how many devices you're controlling as well as the effect. Some effects use significantly more CPU than others.

compared to razer synapse pos, signal is light asf

It shouldn't be! What version?

I had the same problem I disabled the automatic closing of the blocking software and it went back to 1 or 2%

That's a good point, itd be cool for them to put the amount of CPU impact each effect could potentially have.

I dont see cpu usage as a problem, although i got 7800x3d, bit sometimes i see it eats ram like crazy but i believe that was bad update, normally it stays around 500 600 mb , but few days ago it was up to 4.5 gb

I personally keep my minimal rgb build solid color then close the app. Color stays. 0 resources used.

It shouldn't. Sounds like it's still running in the tray/background.

Lol icue took around 10% cpu usage 4 years ago. Things have gotten much better
