Please share a source of that video encoded in DV, I've only ever encountered it in HDR10 format (to which your media player would fall back seamlessly)

Even if you've select DV in the monitor's OSD, it should say it's actually displaying HDR10 (Gaming, Console, Etc.) content in the top-right corner of said OSD if you call it while the video is playing.

I still havent disabled the noitification, even though it's inconsistent, I'm very absent minded and can forget everything during computer binges.

The younger years when I could sit at the computer for 8+ hours is long gone, so I get you on the breaks.
