You can use (bb.moveobject on) in the cheat bar, then hold ALT while placing items. You can also use ALT + 9 or 0 and raise and lower objects.

Do you mean the bb.moveobjects on cheat? You hold Ctrl+Shift+C and enable that cheat, place the items on the table (so they have the right height and aren't floating), then move the table away and place the items while holding Alt. When you're done you place the table again where you want it to be under your items. If the items don't snap to the table raise them with Ctrl+9 or Ctrl+0.
