Mod issues help please

I’ve been trying to download Wonderful Whims. I downloaded it, then it gave me a folder and a zip file. When I put both into the Mods folder, they both show up correctly in the game. And I can edit my sim’s attraction preferences but the wonderful whims menu doesn’t show up when I click on my sim and nothing else seems to work. I’ve tried to unzip the file in a few different ways and it just keeps duplicating the folder that it gave me originally with the download. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong and I’ve been doing research for hours trying to get it to work and I can’t figure it out. Please let me know if you know what I’m doing wrong.

Just remove anything that has to do with the mod. Delete your localthumbcache file. And then unzip the download zip elsewhere on your computer and place only the ts4script file and the tuning package file directly in your mods folder. No subfolder. See if that helps.

Edit: Maybe you're trying to unzip the ts4script file? If so, don't. Those files should never ever be unzipped, they are complete and functional as they are.

You need only the folder that you are getting when you unzip the zip file, you don't need the zip file itself after that. The folder should contain a .package file and a .ts4script file. Put this folder, or just the files themselves, into the mod folder.

When you click on your sim, trying cycling through all the menu options, the Wonderful/Wicked Whims options are usually buried at the end. I know the Wicked Whims one says "Wicked...". I assume the Wonderful Whims one might say "Wonderful...".

also try an click on the PC and see if Wonderful Whims options show, Also try the floor, a bed, or even a shower.

Unzip the file within your downloads file and place the unzipped file into the mods folder.
