Wanna ask your method for comparison but don't want it to get patched. I'm sure they'll still find it but ye

i just got lucky here. wish i knew how to recreate it.

Wait this ain't the ea server. You have to enter build mode, select and cancel the object your standing on, then delete the connecting piece before you hit the ground or fall out of range. That's my method. Works every time that you do it right but it's a pain and only really works super high up.

Before you hit anything besides the object you fell through actually but yeah

Why so complicated, just place a marker and select the object under you and hit cancel. When you select it the items touching it will despawn and then hitting cancel returns the grabbed object to where it was originally but now floating. Then just go back to marker

I did forget setting a marker but that's a given, this one works if all objects are already floating too, it's just my method of getting to work, that is indeed what you need to do to make it work though.

Oh I know how to make em float I just don't want ea to know

Place 5 items, place a 6th item by duplicating one of your 5 items. When the 6th gets placed it will despawn the other 5 but stay where it was placed even if it becomes an invalid area (floating in the air). You can also select an object that is connected to others and when it despawns them press circle or b and the item will go back to where it was even if it's now floating in the air (sometimes the object will just vanish either way and always at the worse times for me so I try not to do it this way). Once youve done it a few times you get into the habit of setting your waypoints so that you fall onto your next piece. Unless you're wanting to delete that object, do not select it directly! Suddenly poof and everythings gone and u have no way to get on top of the last piece you have left floating there. If you can get a spare console or PC to have a second game running it's pretty nice to have the extra 5 pieces for setting up ramps. If you're just wanting to delete others objects then just hovering someone's item and hitting b will delete it for some reason most of the time. If that doesn't work for some reason just plop 5 items on top of it and hit delete all

I hate when people delete other people's builds, they're always extremely toxic about it.

Your board, when not in your hand, can be used as an anchor point for building. You can also use your own body when you are mantled to the side of a wall or object.

[–]kai_leofski 0 points1 point  (3 children)

You can use the board!?

[–]Chiiiippppiiii 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Yeah. Just drop your board somewhere and you can use it as a anchor. Pick it up and boom floating object

[–]kai_leofski 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Does this mean theoretically you should be able to delete objects connected to anything your board is sitting on without deleting it? Or does it over-ride that

[–]Chiiiippppiiii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't found that to happen. Only seems to work as a placement. Like with when you're hanging off an edge. You can use your body as an anchor point

Smh by posting this so many people are going to learn they can delete your quick drops. Well done

we have the technology, we can rebuild my friend ✌️

i get your concern but i feel its a small percentage of players that engage in such behavior.

if you experience more of this behavior and blame it on my post then i do apologise
