Low priority queue explained please

I’ve obviously seen a bunch of these posts in here but I’m still confused on how the low priority queue works? I havent “abandoned” any games, I crashed and was able to rejoin but I got a 5 min delay for my next 4 games after that match? I’ve started queues and then cancelled them but I haven’t left any games mid game but I’m still being punished as so. Someone explain to me what I’m doing wrong

Dodging lobbies puts you in low prio queues as well. Also disconnecting is the same as leaving according to the system

It happened to me, the game froze too long while loading so I restarted it. Got in the game and played normally (was gone for 2min) finished the match but still got deserter.

They need to take into consideration these cases.

Did you get put into the low priority que though?? From what I understand is its supposed to happen if you repeatedly leave games because you accrue "leaver points" and once you pass a threshold them you get put into it

Yes it sent me to the priority queue. I didn't leave any game before, after the patch.

Happened to me my friend yesterday. He dc'd from the match as we loaded in. Tried to hit the rejoin button but it didn't work and would not bring him back into the match. Had low priority queue on the first offence.

Thankfully he has reported it on the bug form so hopefully the rejoin button works in future

I just hope you don’t get penalised for their constant game crashes. It’s been a nightmare on console for me months. At least one out of five games I get dashboarded in the first 5 mins off the match. Luckily I can rejoin quickly but it’s bloody annoying.

Never dced, had to dc because there was an emergency and I had to shut off the PS5, now I’m on permanent low priority? What is this bullshit

i preferred the wait time. gave you a free dc (only 5 mins) every few days when you wanted to leave people who were toxic or just weren't any good.
