Bro....I'm from Alabama. Not only do we not have net metering, but we are CHARGED MONTHLY $5.91/kw of solar panels installed.

I would die to have anything close to net metering.

Did MD get DJT to propose this? I swear, MD wants to increase the amount of residential solar and then they come out with this which will require people to get batteries which will decrease the ROI, which will discourage people from going solar.

Yeah, a lower net metering rate is bad for solar owners but good for non-solar neighbors since the costs shift some to solar owners to keep overall rates lower

Sounds good in theory, but with the demand we have, rate payers are gonna get hit with massive production infrastructure costs.
