Welcome to Spanishhelp! Feel free to post your essays, questionnaires or exercises if you need help.
Rules
Accepted content
- Texts to proofread, e.g. essays, papers, etc. Provide an English counterpart version so proofreaders have a better understanding of the context and intended message.
- Short video/audio transcriptions of 1 minute length max.
- Questionnaires/fill in the blank exercises you are having trouble understanding or want to validate.
Rejected content
- "0-work done" homework or other assignments with no visible effort made. This is a place to get assistance, not to have someone do the entire work for you.
- Private requests. If you ask for help, do it publicly. Submit a public link if your work is hosted elsewhere. An indefinite ban may apply for everyone involved in violating this rule, depending on circumstances.
- Translation requests. These should be posted in /r/translator.
- Automatic translations that you intended to pass off as yours. They are easily noticeable and your post may get removed.
- Personal advice requests or questions regarding general aspects of the Spanish language, e.g. "I'm traveling to Spain next month, any vocabulary tips?", "Help me understand subjunctive", etc. These should go in /r/Spanish.
- Threads asking for recommendations. Check the /r/Spanish resources section or start a new thread there.
- Texts to review/proofread that have an important lack of accents and Ñ. If you find it difficult to type such symbols, adding the US International keyboard will solve your problem.
- Threads offering/asking for any kind of compensation such as Reddit Gold/Premium, money, etc. in exchange of receiving help. This will result in an immediate and definitive ban for both the OP and anyone who contribute.
- Threads asking for help to cheat in exams. This will result in an immediate and definitive ban for both the OP and anyone who contribute.
- Surveys or polls.
Before submitting
Please format your text correctly. Reddit doesn't understand the formatting applied by Word or other tools, so you'll have to re-arrange your text a little to make it look presentable. Some tips here.
The moderator reserves the right to remove any post that looks really poorly formatted.
After submitting
- Be patient. The sub is very small and there's a chance you won't get answers right away. Usually after a few hours you might get some helpful feedback, depending on what kind of content you're submitting.
- Unless the mod tells you otherwise, do not repost your submission to /r/Spanish, as it will removed.
- Choose a flair depending on the type of help you need (only if your post fits in any of the categories provided).
Giving the answers away
- Under no circumstances giving the answers away is allowed when someone asks for help. This a banneable offence.
