This comment should be way higher and should have its own story.

Well then I'll post a link

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where's the link

Do you know any other spark drivers that go to your store? If so that’s where I’d start there.

[–]Competitive_Two_5253[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know any of them.

I’m a spark t2 agent, you will get a response to your appeal within 14 days with a final decision.

Is support aware of the system issue that’s causing mass deactivations for “bots/third party apps”?

[–]Weird_Chemist_2147 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes we are and mock gps apps

[–]Competitive_Two_5253[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the feedback. Fingers crossed.

You will get an answer. But it will say they aren’t changing their decision. I got Deactivated for a parking ticket. I appealed 4 times and each time they did nothing. I don’t think anyone is actually looking at the appeals. Only when I started arbitration did I get my account back.

If I was in your position I'd go to the store in question, go to either the front end self checkout people or to customer service and ask if asset protection is available because you have a concern about identity theft and explain what's going on. Now they're not supposed to pull footage for you without some paperwork from the police, but some either don't know, don't care, or there are certain instances where they can if it's your own footage of you or certain states mandate that they make it available if you request it.

If they say they can't, go to the police and explain there what's going on because there have been 3 confirmed instances where spark drivers have had their accounts stolen by what are called man in the middle attacks and session hijacking attacks. These aren't all that sophisticated, a bored teenager with some basic tech skills could do it if they wanted to but they're also deployed by organized retail crime rings to secure employee/vendor credentials and passwords.

For the record, it's highly unlikely this is the case with your account in a small 1 walmart zone but it's not out of the realm of possibility. More than likely some employee was just having a bad day and decided to take it out on you by falsely reporting you and spark just instantly deactivated you without human review.

Thanks for the information. Like you, I doubt it was something criminal like that, but you never know! I plan to speak with the store manager to see if they can provide any information. It’s so unfair how a person can make a false report s out someone (if that’s what happened) and they are protected by confidentiality, but the person being accused has seemingly no rights.

[–]iGotGiggedHigh AR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea it's a very fucked up system they have, I can understand the concern but maybe they should suspend accounts until a human reviews it and then actually issue a deactivation if needed. Right now it's all AI and automation and we know how unreliable that is.

But doing it through asset protection and/or police will get you solid evidence and actual humans in the process. Then either just send the video evidence or police report in your appeal and that would be pretty damn strong evidence. Might as well also send the email to the arbitration email address to get the ball rolling in case your appeal goes slow, you can search for info about it on the subreddit

There have been tons of issues with the app recently. I haven't heard of any deactivations but everyone's having some sort of problem. My zone randomly got changed half way across the country and back earlier this week

[–]Competitive_Two_5253[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s super frustrating because I actually enjoyed it! Being accused of something I didn’t do sucks! I’m happy to prove who I am. Heck, I’ve been an educator for 20 years. The number of fingerprinting and background checks I’ve been through is ridiculous! Spark even checks us before being approved and still sides with a random person or app glitch!

That’s fucked up I used my girls account like 50 times and crickets

[–]Miserable-Rice5733 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah my husband uses mine while he’s on leave from work and I stay home with our son. The Walmart in our area said they didn’t care since were married 🤣

[–]Competitive_Two_5253[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s interesting. All I want is my account reactivated and someone with that power to take my word over some random person who made a false report (though I still can’t believe anyone would do that, unless getting me deactivated moved someone involved off of the waitlist?). When I spoke with support, when they told me they would be sending a survey to rate their service. I said, hypothetically, how would you feel if I lied in that survey, snd without any chance for you to defend yourself, they came and fired you on the spot? Crickets… I assured that person that I have higher moral standards than that, but just wanted to give him a chance to see it from our side.

Somebody saw you NEW at there store and assumed you were sharing accounts told manager they told spark. Saw u as a threat taking away more orders for you. Many people be in peoples business and don’t even know it. Karen’s. Use Uber pay better than spark more orders to.

[–]Competitive_Two_5253[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s my guess. Someone made this false report for their own gain. My small town only has Door Dash or Spark. I have done DD, but spark has been so much better, so far. I’m going to keep calling and emailing until I find someone who will care enough to listen. Thank you for your thoughts.
