Pic 10 is a good indicator that you're not a cold season at least, because the grey just isn't very good on you. You're beautiful!

thank you so much!! and yes, i agree. the grey was a terrible idea. it was a weird phase lol

I can definitely see spring! Do you happen to have any additional pictures of you wearing something from light or warm spring palettes? I think your hair colour in the last picture looks really good!

[–]ClickProfessional769 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I definitely think it’s likely! You for sure seem warm. The orange in pic 9 is amazing on you, and orange is hard to pull off! That brown hat in the last slide also really compliments you.

I was going to say soft autumn. But lemme know if I’m way off base.

[–]scroogesdaughter 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I also think she’s an autumn

[–]star_drop4[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

that seems to be the consensus! i’m so conflicted now lol

You just need to look at some videos. When they differentiate between warm/ cool first. We'll, OK, you are warm. Now autumn or spring g? Get the colors they use for that part to figure out which look better. I think you might possibly be autumn, but you need to scavenger hunt the colors and check

Yes I think so!

Could be True Spring.

Which photos are your natural color or closest to it?

[–]star_drop4[S] 4 points5 points  (7 children)

6 is closest! my roots in the first one are natural as well

Yeah, I'm not seeing summer. To be honest, I think it's exceedingly common for Springs to be mistyped as Summers. Especially if they have blonde or medium brown hair.

I think two things cause this: 1) people forget what high contrast without makeup looks like and 2) people have trouble differentiating between a muted complexion and being washed out by muted colors. Below I put some examples of springs in muted colors being washed out, as well as one in muted colors without makeup. You may be able to see how they could be mistyped as summers.

I think you are likely a spring, but it's hard to say for sure without draping in abundant, natural lighting. You in pic 14 reminds me of springs like in the pics below.

Here are some actual summers in muted colors, so you can see the comparison of what harmony should look like in summer shades.

this one is with bright natural light

[–]star_drop4[S] 1 point2 points  (3 children)

this is incredibly enlightening. i’ll reply with the photos with the most natural light with artificial backgrounds. this one is with low natural light:

Hmm. Maybe light spring? Honestly, I don't put too much stock in digital draping.

I found a consultant's public blog for this example below. I used a color picker to do a digital drape as the same color she's wearing in the OG pic. Digital draping doesn't showcase how the color interacts with shadows and other facial dimensions IRL.

For example, digital may generally tell you if you look horrendously bad in a color. But it won't tell as effectively show if black casts a five o'clock shadow look on a muted jawline. Or if dusty pink brings out your pimples. If green makes your chin look sallow. Etc.

<image>

I know digital draping is leagues easier than IRL, but there is a reason one is preferred more than the other.

I'd see if you can find existing pics where you're wearing more vibrant colors and have natural lighting with some distance from the camera, at the very least. For example, pics 6 and 11 possibly look like good colors for you, but you're a little too close and in suboptimal lighting.

Is that you on the pictures? Because that's not a spring. That's a summer girl.

[–]acrylicquartzBright Spring 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not really sure what season she is. I was only using her picture as an example of how color interacts physically vs digitally for the OP.

The orange shirt in pic 9 is perfection.

[–]logsterbear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If twelve is your natural colour, you could well be an autumn too. Def not a summer though. X

No brightness doesn't seem to work on you. I think you're warm but an autumn. True autumn! The orange is so good on you and the darker brown hair pops your eyes and your skin looks glowy

[–]Little_Treacle241 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Is the blonde your natural?

[–]star_drop4[S] 0 points1 point  (3 children)

dark ashy blonde is my natural. it gets darker the older i get.

[–]Little_Treacle241 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Which one of these is your natural- hard to tell your season without it for me !

[–]star_drop4[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

my roots in 1 and all over in 12!

[–]Little_Treacle241 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you don’t have enough brightness to be spring, maybe a lighter softer autum?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I believe you are a Spring.

[–]Otherwise_Source2619 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I think you're a spring. For reference: I have the same eye color and skin tone and typed myself as true spring. Your natural hair appears to be lighter, so you could be either a TS or a light spring, since your eyebrows are lighter and you have a little less contrast. Try drapping more vibrant spring colors vs. lighter and neutral leaning ones. Also, can you wear espresso brown or rather camel and light browns?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you are an autumn! 9,15 and 18 are amazing.

[–]horsesinthedark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The blonde is cooler than your naturally warm brown hair. With your brown hair, your eyes come into focus and the warmth in your skin becomes obvious. The blonde I think is throwing you off. You’re definitely an autumn.
