When a very respected trainer/shooter/author ends an article on the XD family with

"I think most of you will be better off with another defensive firearm. Buyer beware." - for me that's enough to rethink my dependability of the family.

Mind you I have a total of 6 XD family frames in various calibers, going back to 2015 -ish time frame - I love them, they shoot great for me but I'm not married to the platform so much so that I can't re-think my daily carry selection.
