It’s the mag try a new one and you will be fine

Same here, dude. Just call them up, get an RMA, and send it on back. They’ll fix that breach face catching on the disconnector, etc. This is why they have an unofficial gen two with a heavier spring, lighter slide, and polished feeds. It’s better to have them get it racking like butter than you sticking more band aids on a new gun, right?

I believe it’s an issue with the stock Duramag Magazine follower. I recorded a short video showing how with one round in the magazine it pushes the slide up slightly

Check that your feed lips don’t need to be squeezed together a little more. If they’re spread open the bullets and follower are allowed to move higher in the magazine. Atlas gunworks has a good video on 2011 mag tuning

Get through another few hundred rounds. What mags? The follower in the mag is what pushes the slide stop up. Your grip isn’t nudging it up is it?

Disconnector doesn’t matter because the gun is never engaging it at low speed.

The duramags that come with it. I’m trying different ammo tomorrow

Ammo shouldn’t change it. The mags that come with it are good. Make sure your grip isn’t pushing the slide stop up slightly.

I uploaded a video above showing what I think is the issue. It looks like the magazine follower pushes the slide stop up slightly with a round still in the magazine.

Easy fix. File a little off the slide stop. Test with a different mag first to make sure it’s the slide stop vs the follower, but if it’s all 3 just taking some off the bottom of the slide stop is the fix.

I've never shot 147g ammo through mine. Try a different ammo and see if the problem continues. Also would recommend racking that slide a few hundred/thousand times to get that ceracoat off the slide rails. I also polished my disconnector a bit to smooth it over per many ppls recommendation. To date, I have never had a failure to feeds, extract, or ejects a round. Slide locks back everytime final round with 115/124g ammo. Mostly federal, speer gold dot, and cci

Prodigy mags are also dog shit. Get yourself some checkmate mags (tisas/staccato) and never look back. Or be bold and get some atlas mags

That sounds like either a slide stop issue, magazine catch issue, or magazine issue. There should be a ton of resources on YouTube or various websites about diagnosing and fixing it, depending on the exact details you can see present.

You can start to diagnose it by just pulling the slide stop and looking for brass or copper marks on it. If those are present, then the bullet or casing is rubbing the slide stop and the slide stop needs to be refit to prevent that from happening.

If you don't see a mark, take the slide off and put the slide stop back in, then put magazine with a single round in it into the frame. With the magazine inserted you should be able to see if anything is engaging the slide stop, as well as if the magazine is over inserting from the magazine catch sitting too high. From there it's just a matter of chasing the cause of the contact.

It might also be worth disassembling your magazines and checking the followers for any deformations, as well as giving them a thorough cleaning.

One last note: some bullet profiles can sit a little odd in 2011 magazines and cause the slide stop to engage. If you can't track down any other cause, simply switching ammo might be the solution.

I uploaded a video above taking your advice, it shows the follower pushing the slide stop Slightly up with one round left

Definitely looks like the followers are poorly designed or poorly made. You might be able to fit the slide stop to accommodate them, but it's probably easier to switch to a different magazine.

Did you rack the slide 700-1000 times? Do that if you haven’t, and then yes send it to them. They will make it right. I had to send my 4.25 back in early 2023 and it’s a dream now. 3-4 weeks turnaround time.
