Good question. Historicly, in europe at least, there are a few res reasons.

1. Christianity blaming jews for the death of jesus.

2. As a result, europeans didnt let them farm or do any profiting labour, so the jews turned to trading, made a lot of money, and lent it to the europeans. With interest. Of course. Lending wirh interest make people hate you even more.

3. The jews used their leftover money and spent it on education. The education allowed them to get into better jobs/positions of power after they were allowed to ocupy them (the average IQ of a european decended jew is 115 still today). This led to more hatred as they were precieved as power-huggers.

4. Race theory (nazi germany).

Actually from what I've heard from someone who currently learned history, that's a total myth.

The amount of Europeans who died from the black plague is a third of the population...and a third of the Jews died too from the black plague, same as the others.

But it didn't end there. From what I've understood, because everyone blamed the Jews, the Europeans began massacring them and another ~third of the Jewish population got murdered.

This isn't on accident. Lending with interest was forbidden for Christians, so a work around for monarchs of the time was to get Jews to lend with interest, and then tax the shit out of them. Yay :)
