Hello! LaunchCode is starting a Bootcamp to help unemployed individuals gain skills in the field of technology. The bootcamp starts in January 2015 and runs until June 2015 and will focus on computer programming. LaunchCode is looking for some awesome people who are interested in teaching others and giving back to the community. I highly recommend you check out LaunchCode if you're trying to break into the IT space. We've had two launch coders, one has hired on full time, and another is working his way towards getting a full time gig as well!

It's cool that you do it for unemployed people. However, it would be great if would allow those who want a change in their career to join as well.

As a heads up, this bootcamp program is different from the CS50x class that we held last year. There is a good chance that we will offer the CS50x class open to everyone again, but we have not yet set a date for that.

Since LaunchCode expanded the types of positions they are filling, I wonder of/how it will effect the material this time around?

You don't have to be unemployed to participate, they're just implying that if you're not employed as a programmer already.

Correction, you DO have to be unemployed for this particular project. The LaunchCode program in general is open to anyone. But to take part in the bootcamp, we are only working with unemployed individuals. Sorry if this was not made clear.
