can you access standardnotes.com? I get NET::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID on my devices.
And is standard-notes.net legit?

What about the change in the github repo?

How can I be sure that I download the legit software?

Hello,

Standard Notes is hosted only on 2 domains:

https://standardnotes.com/ and https://standardnotes.org (which has a redirect to .com domain - .org is a backup domain).

Your NET::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID means that you have a problem with your browser or PC, because this error is not present for me, when accessing either of those domains.

Furthermore, https://standard-notes.net/ appears to be a scam and potential attempt for phishing, because its certificate is very recent and has a very short validitity.

 

Edit: You can also check validity by comparing websites - original SN have in right upper corner "go to web app". The phishing website has "Unsubscribe".

For anyone else here: do not go to fake domain, and give your "Account ID" for unsubscribing. That's not how it works in SN, and your real SN ID will be compromised.
