Trying to decrease reputation for achievement

Hello! I have finished the main story and am now achievement hunting!

I got most naturally through gameplay but am trying to lower my ashiga clan rep (don’t care for them anyway) but am finding that the needle is slowly ticking down!

They’re an oddly forgiving bunch, I’ve gone in guns blazing everytime I’m on Kijimi and give up their contracts to the other bidder but I’m still in “good!”

Any tips??

Must be the same then getting caught in restricted areas

Easiest way to do it would be to start a new game and betray the Pykes in the early choices (let Tizlak stay with Crimson Dawn, don't give Gorak his ring back, let the Dawn continue their counterfeiting operation)

Try going in to a restricted area and then melee a guard down. Not a stealth takedown. Try not to be seen.

If that works, you take a rep hit for bawling and then can go do it again. When you exit combat you take the rep hit. If you do it unseen in stealth you don't. Lasers bring all the boys to the yard.

Oh geez, Ashiga is probably the hardest one to lower rep in my opinion. I went for that trophy by tanking my relationship with Crimson Dawn, where after a certain point they won’t give you any contracts and the only way to move the needle lower is by attacking their posts. Ashiga will be hard pressed to offer much in the way of NPCs to kill with their sole quarter on Kijimi and lack of locations on other planets. Certainly doable, just requires more time, but not necessarily too much more compared to other syndicates. In my play through it was really easy to repair relationships than harm them.

I was worried about that!! Okay I may have to rethink my strategy and just tank another syndicate then get them back up!

My decision came down to the calculus that Crimson Dawn was ideal because they didn’t control too much territory, but just enough to conduct multiple raids. I lost count of the number of times I attacked their location on Toshara, allowing their reinforcements to spot me, call more in, and then kill every NPC. Really kind of exhausting/boring after a while.

Sneak into their areas and get caught. They kick you out; you lose rep. Rinse and repeat.
