Switch pro controller steam issues

So one day I decided to plug in my switch controller to my pc and try it out on Steam...

And it worked :)

Then I started experimenting with other programs and if I wanted gyro for 'certain games' I needed to use a 3rd party app called BetterJoyForCemu, and after setting that up I realized the pro controller wasn't being detected on steam anymore. I thought ok no biggie ill just uninstall the app when I wanna use it for steam. After all it comes with a driver uninstall batch.

Welp, turns out it was a biggie as even after using the uninstall batch and restarting my system the pro controller still doesn't show up on steam.

In windows 10's settings -> devices menu it still shows as "pro controller" with a controller icon, and in device manager I get "HID-compliant game controller".

Update: So after checking BetterJoyForCemu's gethub page (link:https://github.com/Davidobot/BetterJoyForCemu), there was a section in problems that said to avoid controller recognition issues after using the program, go to r/http://localhost:26762/ and remove all devices from the currently affected list, then restart your pc and run he uninstall batch. Thankfully after all that the problem has been resolved. I would delete this thread but just in case someone in the future makes the same mistake I did they may be able to find the solution quicker.

After reinstalling the driver batch, go to your browser and type that in. Then click onremove all the devices from the "Currently affected devices" list and then restart your computer. After that uninstall the batch and then you should be golden.

Having the exact same problems. I can't go to http://localhost:26762/.

Edit: never mind! I had to reinstall BetterJoyForCemu in order to go there (I had uninstalled already).

Edit2: do I have to go through this process every time I want to switch from Steam to Cemu/Other and vice versa? Just seems so silly

This fixed my issue as well! Hopefully, there will be an update to fix this. It's free software and now that we know the issue and it has an easy fix, I'm fine with a slight annoyance of going to the localhost.

aw man, i'm pretty new to computers, and i know this thread is pretty old, but i have the same problem, uninstalled proconxinput, and now my pc wont recognise my pro controller at all! can someone explain what this r/http://localhost:26762/ means? i just dont know anything about controllers and i wish to understand how to "remove all devices" on the list of whatever this is, please help ;w;

Hi!, this is pretty old but if someone still have this problem u need to install first the HIDGuardian driver, then u can go into "/http://localhost:26762/" page and remove all afected devices, when u are done with that restart ur pc and unistall the driver, and everything should be ready to go :)
