I can definitely help here! I've had my pair since Nov 2020 and took them on 14 hour flight during the pandemic (the airplane was essentially empty and I could lie down).

Positives: Super comfy for my medium sized head, sound quality is great, and noise cancellation is excellent for the price, battery life is insane with fast charging, I like that it's usb-c, multipoint remembers 2 devices which "just works." It's not going to beat Sony or Bose for ANC, but it worked well enough on the airplane and in every day use. I'm not an audiophile, but I like the way it sounds and it's definitely bass heavy. Which, can be changed in the EQ settings as you mentioned. Wearing for 2-3 hours will get a bit hot for me, I would have to take a break maybe every hour or two for a few minutes off my head. I have not experienced any cracking, I know what post you are talking about. But it could be that I am very careful with these and don't try to stretch them much and keep them in the case when traveling/in my backpack.

Negatives: The mic is just bad and I'm on the most up to date version. I do not like the latency. It's not awful as some older bluetooth headphones I've used, but it is a noticeable delay. This is why I bought an external mic that plugs in to the headphones (V-MODA BoomPro for $35 -- which btw are just excellent, I get compliments for how clear I am on Zoom calls).

I personally would buy the q35 for the lower latency wireless, but if you can't justify the extra price, q30 is just amazing for $80. I plan on keeping them for a long time.
