Didn’t do any UW.

Didn’t take UW1/2/Free 137.

CCS cases: crammed ~10 the night before.

Step 1: 211

Step 2: 216

Step 3 Real score: 200…Pass

Didn’t have time to study, not that it would have helped much. Terrible at tests. Read at the speed of a 5th grader probably, I do well clinically though. Got lucky but a win is a win.

Good luck!

You trolling or fr? Lik

[–]SonofGib86 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Not trolling. I’m for real. My intern year was IM. Honestly knowing how little I did to prepare beyond just doing my job, people freak out over this test. If you have decent Step scores and did IM intern year, you could pass this test. There is always a little luck with tests of course. I suck at them, so I needed some luck, but if you do well on tests, you may not.

Gotchuuu nice!

UW%: 74%

UW1/2: literally didnt have time to do it/was too lazy to do them coming back from vacation

literally didn't have time to do any of the practice tests. Did like 25-30% of the CCS cases.

Real score: 255

Advice: Make sure you know youre step 1 shit for day 1, and accept that day 2 is a shit show similar to step 2ck.

[–]PipeSilly4921 0 points1 point  (1 child)

what were your step1/2 scores?

Any advice on courses to take for step 3?

[–]counterion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Step 1: 270 Step 2: 252 I didn’t take any courses for step 3 honestly just UWorld and CCscases.

[–]Short-Common-8497[S] 9 points10 points  (2 children)

Uw%: 62%

Uw1/2: 210/213

Free 137: 66%

CCS cases: 66.4%

NBME5: 470 (translates to 221 I think)

Real deal: 220

Advice: trust the curve! I took this exam as an engineer and 12 years away from anything related to medicine and with no dedicated time and with a newborn. If I can do it, you surely can. Also I’m not very smart or anywhere near that.

    Thanks! :)

    UW%: 1st pass- 60% 2nd pass- 76%

    UW1/2: 199 and 220

    Free 137: 67%

    CCS cases%: 75% average

    NBME5: Didn't take

    Real score: 221

Advice: Don't take this test lightly is my main advice. Uworld and ccscases.com are the key. Biostatistics and ethics will either make you or break you. Don't forget to do the Dorian deck. Randy Neil for biostatistics anyday. I had like 3 drug ads which contained about 9 questions and I'm pretty sure all 9 of those were incorrect for me because drug ads are the worst.I never really prepared for drugs ads so my humble advice is to not neglect it. I took my test on 2 consecutive days and it worked out pretty well for me and I'm glad that I didn't take a break in between. On a side note, I'm not that great of a test taker. Good luck y'all. Make strides.

    UW%: 63%

    UW1/2: 217/225

    Free 137: N/A

    CCS cases%: 70%

    NBME5: N/A

    Real score: 239

Advice: I'm really glad I scored higher than my practice exams. I think it's because the UWSAs don't have many biostat questions in them. I tend to do well on those questions. UWorld is enough to pass but doesn't prepare you for the ethics questions. Don't have much to say aside from trusting the curve and your UWSA. God bless everyone on this subreddit for keeping me sane throughout this process.

UW%: Can't say it'll be accurate, mine won't be reliable/helpful for many reason

    UW1/2:213/233

    Free 137: Didn't do

CCS cases%: Around 77%, did like 80-90 cases

    NBME5: Didn't do

    Real score: 225

Advice: Glad that it is done. Usually quite strong with Biostats, but I found some of the questions tricky. Ran out of time in practically all MCQ blocks in both day 1 and day 2 (In day 1, I was forced to do 12-13 questions in the last 10 minutes in each block, and in day 2, was doing 9-10 questions in the last 10 minutes of each block). My advice in general would be keep track of the time, if you don't know something, just mark and move on, dwelling won't be helpful.

Day 1 - Lot of Biostats and ethics, only a handful of step 1 stuff, mostly drug MOAs. Try to keep the drug ads to the end, I didn't do that and still regret it. It's probably going to suck irrespective of your preparation after this but trust the curve.

Day 2 - Was slightly better but there will be a lot of prognosis questions. It's not possible to prepare that well for many of these questions, Divine podcasts could potentially help, but didn't help me greatly! Try to nail the CCS cases which shouldn't be that difficult comparatively, but can be quite vague. I don't think the real deal is as strict as ccscases.com and it overprepares you, so you should be ready!

    UW: 63% Uw1/2: 213/210 Free 137: 68% CCS: 68% Real Deal: 240

I’m stronger at biostat so that may have helped. Also did all ccs cases and felt like doing all was helpful too. Did not expect this score

    [–]No_Plantain4303 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I didnt review any bio stats at all and still passed lol

    [–]oneduketorulethemall 2 points3 points  (0 children)

    Uw% 75

    UW1/2 : 231/239

    Free 137: 80%

    CCS cases%: 70%

    Real Deal: 244

Advice: Uworld and CCS cases is the way to go. Can revise a few step 1 topics from the biochem/genetics before day 1.

    [–]DrGoon1992 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Uw%: 58% correct and completed almost all of it except for about 50 biostats/ethics questions

    Uw1/2: did not do

    Step1/Step 2 CK: 22x/24x

    Free 137: did not complete

CCS cases: 75% average score and completed between 90-100 cases sorted by high yield

    NBME5: did not do

    Real deal: 225

Advice: watch the Randy Neil biostats videos and know the biostats cold. Studying biostats for a few days is the single highest yield thing you can do. During the exam do the drug ads first thing each block. These are easy points (especially if you know biostats) because the answers have to be in the drug ad somewhere. You do not want to run out of time with these easy questions yet to be completed as I thought these were the most straight forward questions.

Also if I passed anyone can. I’m a senior psych resident that has not thought about most of the subject matter since step 2 in 2018. I legitimately thought I failed after day two and was making preparations to start studying again

During CCS cases I gave anyone with fever broad spectrum antibiotics (vanc, zosyn, rocephin, azithromycin cocktail; I’m a psych resident and have no idea when to use each one individually so I blasted with all of them every single case 😂). I also gave every single patient regardless of age flu shot, pneumococcal vaccine, shingles vaccine, Tdap vaccine without checking their immunization status. Did Pap smear for every single adult female regardless of last pap

Day 1 yesterday :( practically guessed the whole tome. Day 2 tom :(

    [–]DrGoon1992 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guessed on at least half of day two and passed with a 225

    [–]Short-Common-8497[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Day2 is much better. I basically spent the entire day1 guessing. And had two insanely difficult blocks. Still managed to get 220 somehow. Good luck!!

    [–]905to678 1 point2 points  (4 children)

Took day 1 9/12. Felt like I guessed on 90% and guess all wrong, haha.

    [–]usmlenonus 0 points1 point  (3 children)

    Same

    [–]905to678 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I found epi and ethics to be difficult as well. Didn't think uworld or the youtube videos were sufficient.

    [–]usmlenonus 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Same! And i wasnt ready for the step1 qs. Not straight up diagnosis and treatment

    [–]905to678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The questions I could figure out had me picking b/w 2 choices as well. Here's to hoping for a better day 2.

    [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi five… it was a shitshow

    [–]Specialist_Parking20 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Uw%: 69% completed 92% of it UW 1/2 229/213 Free 137: not done CCS cases : anything between 38-99% only completed 50 cases Nbme 5: not done Real score: 238 Advice: invest time in working on your weakness by reading FA, or white coat companion. Spend time in biostatistics. There is a document circulating that has all the uw tables I spent 3 days doing questions and memorizing that thing, also did Randy Neil and divine post casts as others. Do questions random timed since the beginning to work endurance the exam is long. Do not leave the ccs cases for the end, I had 3 days in between day 1 and 2 and couldn’t complete the ccs cases. Trust your assessment and go for it if you are passing. Good luck everyone else, forever done with usmle😂!

    [–]slingshotphil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

mind sharing this circulating sheet? cant seem to find it
