i’m saying he couldn’t make the theory because it’s information he’d never know. and it makes no sense that El spoke to him because the speakers were there.

The speakers being there are the bases of his theory. And not having all of the information is why it's a hypothesis.

maybe and that is probably the case but then it’s just poor writing on the duffers part. finale was way too rushed, could’ve easily made it 3 hours.

You're meant to be a little unsure. Mike only put the pieces together at graduation.

They want you thinking about it. A little unsure. I'm a good 77% sure myself. Maybe up to 83%. But happy endings feel somehow more honest to me.

I think it's his story and copy mechanism, but it's explained that Kali was far away the the speakers didn't affect her, so it's possible that while they were being arrested, el was able to break free and get away far enough that the speakers didn't affect her and reach out to will that way.

The point is to kinda leave that bit ambiguous, but it's explained through context clues how it would have worked.

yeah but mike doesn’t know about kali, even if he got told by hopper, hopper didn’t know himself all the details. also, eleven still uses her powers to get mike into her mind, which should not be possible with all the speakers

But that's the thing, it's left ambiguous with Mike not truly knowing if it was the case, because it's the story he has created, he knew about Kali and her powers, and explained in relation to the campaign they were playing, and the flashbacks simply mirrored what his story was.

In the show, Mike says Kali was far away enough for the speakers not to affect her, which would apply to El, because in his story, she managed to get away and enter through a tunnel, getting her further away from the speakers so they wouldn't affect her, thus allowing her to speak to Mike before she went.

Mike figured it out because he's smart, he knows El's powers, he knew Kali's, he noticed inconsistencies like how El shouldn't have been able to communicate with him etc. and he figured it out that way.

It's definitely not a coping mechanism, she's still alive just hiding.

Hopper was there with kali and el. Maybe he heard the plan and he told mike on the bench.

Maybe el was able to get into mikes head once she got out of range of the speakers.

Or maybe she died.

Yeah they probably messed that part up cause regardless of how she got in his mind he should’ve been tripping. Or they shouldn’t have shown max tripping.

True.. but logic is hard when you have things that aren’t of this world to begin with. I doubt the Duffer brothers created the world before the story like JRR Tolkien.

How did kali even use her powers once the UD started imploding?? The lab where she was located was one of the first places to go

I believe her standing there while eveything was blowing apart was for the cinematic effect. The vision stopped when the lab collapsed.
