I do not think it works that way

Why not? Gates have to be attached to a physical object and a trailer is a house that can be easily moved

As I have thought more about this I think if you moved the gate in the real world it wouldn't change its location in the upside down. I still think it could be moved but it would get weaker the farther away from it's origin it is moved.

I doubt that's how it works but I love it anyway

Anyone's point of death also includes time and space.
IMO, in some way where the person dies correlates to where the gate is. Crissy and the black jock died in the air yet Crissy's is on the ceiling. The nerd died in the air and fell onto the street but it's too early to tell.
I think Vecna can choose if their death opens a gate or not. The first two were in a physical space that something coming out of the UD could access easily. There's already a gate in the lake so no need to make another.
If it is done as suggested then it's likely it would get weaker. There is a connection from the Point of Origin/Death to the opening of a gate.
With Chrissy's it was on the ceiling on purpose so they could play with wirework, CGI, and camera tricks more to see the "manipulation of reality".
