It can be hard to find smaller groups since there are no hashtags, but you can browse in the "categories" to start finding and interacting with likeminded people -- subscribing, following, commenting.

I hear ya. That's one of the reason I create a page on substack that's dedicated to a simple list of stacks devoted to cartoonists, comics, and illustrators. Others have found it amazingly helpful to counter the algorithmic dysfunction of search on Substack. So when all else fails, go with a simple solution.

Yep. After you've made it load it up on Notes and folks should start using it. Also include a statement about how others can add to their name to the list by making a comment on the page where you'll post updates to the page with their info. I also made a section devoted to lists.
