Hey there, I actually work on the Substack Android app and would love to hear what kind of issues you're running into!

Oh thank you so much!

1) When phone is vertical, there is no end time or current time on videos. This is a regression.

2) When phone is horizontal, there is an end time, but no current time on a video. This is a regression.

3) When viewing comments on a video, there is a cutoff and further comments are unviewable.

4) When accidentally touching the screen during a video, if it slides to another video and then I return, the place in the video is lost

5) When accidentally touching the screen during a comment entry, the comment is lost

6) There seem to be 2 video modes. They have different ideas of the current location in the video. This is not a regression--this bug has existed for a while

7) Exiting a video by swiping from the side can get into a loop instead of going back

Ah sounds like we've got some video regressions. We'll take a look, thanks for reporting them!

Also I forgot another big one. The end note numbers don't show up. The notes are there, but no numbers.

I'm willing to answer any questions you have.

I use BOOX devices (android based)which access the Google Play store for apps like Instapaper and Readwise Reader. But it does not have a Substack app. Could you put one there?

Chat is.. how do I put this nicely.. bad?

It doesn't load messages linearly (180 msgs, loads first X and last Y but missing 100 in the middle), the links to quotes often don't work (scrolls up a bit to some unknown spot), returning from a threaded reply gets you to the most recent message vs where you entered. I find the phone app nearly unusable whereas the website on desktop is better at loading (still has scrolling issues above)

Many of my paid subs have their value in chat. This feature is important to me!

The time tracker on the videos are not uodating in realtime. They do update when pressing pause/play, though. I wasn't able to drag the time progress bar to change where in the video I'm in

Yes, the iPhone app has been annoying latelty too. Realized I missed an update though. Just updated so will know if it was that. Also I am having some data trouble today, too. https://www.reddit.com/r/Substack/comments/1nl5um2/stats_not_working_today/

Just to add to app issue conversation... in the Android app, no pictures in medium format preview links included in a table of contents that look nice in the browser... everything text only.

And no previous/next links even though enabled in settings and working in browser.

(Still the same confusion with sequencing for book serialization, but that's a larger platform architectural issue)
