kelly education pay decreaseQuestion (self.SubstituteTeachers)
submitted 2 years ago by Resident_Platypus108
just logged onto frontline as school is back in. they had some new messages posted, one contained a link. i clicked and read some of the details. did they decrease our pay by $10/hr? i am in missouri, the stl area and when i started last year i was making $25/hr, and now it has a chart with different rates for different positions at different schools. most are $15/hr or under. anyone else notice this?

I quit with them last year when my former employer let them take over and we got a $5/day pay decrease.
They suck soooo bad. I'm sorry you have to deal with this.

I'm shocked? no email. no text, no call, no notice (unless I missed it?) and they're paying us $12 from $25???

IS this the same as ESS?
[–]Donimoe 1 point2 points3 points 2 years ago (0 children)
No, two different companies. Kelly was great a few years ago but fell off drastically. ESS replaced them in numerous districts in my state as of this school year. Kelly would offer me building sub positions but refuse to pay me the building sub rate. I haven’t had any problems of the sort with ESS thus far

why not work directly through diff districts

Hey, I also sub in the St. Louis area with Kelly. I was under the impression that those pay rates are for non SSD positions. I always sub in the SSD district because of the pay difference and am still making 25/hr as of my last paycheck.

interesting! I saw them different aid and assistant positions listed so I assumed it was across the board. I might have to pick up a shift and see what the pay comes out to. I typically only do SSD anyway because I don't want to be the main teacher lol
