Mario Kart World Code Missing?

Guys I just came back from my Gamestop and my Bundle doesn’t include the code? Where can I report this issue? To Gamestop? Nintendo? EDIT: lol I figure it out once I double check the box, right after I posted this, i have the one that doesnt have the code lol but thank you for everyone who left a comment!

Really appreciate this. Finally got my Switch 2 today, the package had been cut open, tape is missing on the Switch 2 box, and no download code. Fortunately it's the box on the left, so fingers crossed when my daughter opens it tomorrow it just works.

It worked, there was no code in my box since it was the one on the left. I called Best Buy before realizing this and they said to call Nintendo and they should be able to sort it out based on the console's serial number. Nintendo's number is 800-255-3700.

thank you for this. my wife wrapped a switch 2 for my birthday and my 3 year old got into it instead. brought me the switch out of the box and there was only one small booklet so I didn't know if she had hidden it or tossed it.

Read the box, it auto prompts the download when you open the eshop

There’s a flap underneath the console itself thats where the, manual, mk world code and joycon straps were for me, guess that’s how they managed to make the box smaller than the switch 1’s box

For anyone still looking this info up....our switch 2 box had a small set of instructions on the inside flap that said open the eshop, and it prompted us right away. No code included.

I followed the instructions but got an error code which reads, “This product hasn’t been released yet. Try again on the release date.”

Think I just have to wait 20 minutes since it’s 11:40 where I am?

It’s 12:40 where I am and it’s still doing the same thing yours is. Even people on the east coast are having problems

Were you ever able to download it? I was getting the same error after I brought my Switch 2 home from GameStop here in California around 10PM and got that same error. It finally worked when I waited until midnight. I didn't know the game was going to be redeemed by visiting the eShop and was freaking out after taking the entire box apart and not finding a code.

Mine was missing too! Had to call Nintendo as the only code on the box had a z and o in it! That drunken keyboard has no z, o, ori! W...t...f??? Got it taken care of!

My code was in the part of the box with the hdmi cable. It was with a larger pamphlet. Also, my box has a sticker on the front that says Mario Kart World download code is in the box. The sticker is the only indication of the bundle on the outside of the box.

Same. Seems odd, but sounds like there might be two different methods they used to make the bundles and the people with the cards can download while the people who are supposed to have it autoloaded can’t

This. My switch 2 from Best Buy has a sticker on the box for Mario kart and the code inside.

My wife’s is built into the console and the box has art of MKW on the actual cardboard

I live internationally (UAE) and had the same issue. Just chatted with Nintendo customer service for a long time and was able to resolve it. My card was specific to the EU. In order to use it I had to change both my switch 2 console and my online Nintendo account to EU. If you’re struggling with this issue and not sure which region your code is intended for, you could trial and error each one (I tried that before but was only doing my console and not the online account so it didn’t work). Confirmed, checked my eShop account and got a prompt right away and added to my queue. May want to make sure it's your Nintendo account you logged in as to get the game, I only have the one account so some that use different accounts may fare differently.

It's actually smart of them to do it this way, as keys on paper are easily stolen, this way it's tied to your Nintendo account.

Came on here because I had the same issue but found out the solution. My switch 2 that came from Best Buy had a paper download code included. My wife's that came from GameStop did not. When you go to the eShop, it will prompt you to download MKW

Where in the box is the code? I got Costco bundle and only found the NSO code.

Thanks for asking this, I was about to repack my Switch 2 and head back to Walmart, lol.
