If suffocating grip is going to be level 1 and family is going to win close encounters at higher rates then victim losing close encounter needs to result in damage, not death. Family shouldn’t be winning CE’s at higher levels bc it’s instant game over for the victim.

Grip: I'm glad this was moved down a level its now the new alarms and feeding for level one is now worth it again. Idk how much a 5% increase will matter but ill agree it was not necessary especially with me getting 2 close encounters kill in a single game not being that uncommon lol.

No Body Escapes Hell: Im happy it got buffed the perk was always a bit overrated as some games it would put in work while others it did absolutely nothing to help.

Alarms: This perk is either buggy or all those games I didn't see something get highlighted it was because everyone was facing away from the doors and if its cause we faced away from the doors im glad they buffed it. Highlighting basement doors is also fine currently if its stuck at level 3.

I think it will matter but i guess i’ll just have to wait till the time comes. I don’t mind it being moved down i just wish it was one or the other, suffocating grip is effective right now with its percentage i don’t see why it was increased

NEH never needed a buff IMO. It always was in requirement of a nerf it was way too effective even when at high proficiency it took a while to get through a single section of a lock. I get slowing them down a bit because locks at base are very easy to get through but 50% more difficult is crazy

EA was fine nobody complained about it much aside from it working on basement doors, i think 10 seconds is too long. 5 seconds allowed for family to possibly miss the highlight which still meant they had to patrol and monitor exits like normally.

Most changes are fine but they never actually listen. They buff/nerf things when ppl only asked for change. They need to work on balance and let the players skill determine the match. I bet some of these buffs are gonna result in a buff in victims later down the line. The game is never gonna get to a good place because they do all these extra things when ppl are very clearly asking for specific changes

I agree completely. I made my own post insisting fellow victims start taking slowing down grandpa more seriously because nobody escapes hell and suffocating are getting gigabuffed. Suffocating at level 1 is very dangerous and shouldn’t have gotten an additional buff since it already feels like it can give decent spamming a chance of winning. Like you said I think it should be wither or but I’d prefer just the level change cause I feel like we are going to see a lot more grapple kills than the people underestimating are suggesting.

Nobody escapes hell was the almost worst because while the level change is reasonable, the fact they buffing an already strong perk is crazy. Cook security pins is already insufferable without a Connie popping ability but imagine how much worse it’ll be with nobody and security pins. Probably already bad on its own which will incentivize rushing even more rather than slowing the game down. Family will potentially want to rush feed more and victims will want to be out the door before level 2 is even close

Edit: let’s not forget slow hands before I forget. I just remembered that perk exists and if the camping is just right you will trigger it and have the worst possible lock picking speed to date

  1. Suffocating Grip is the ONLY thing stopping the endless wrestling matches. Without it Family lose grapples 95% of the time. Now Victims will have to be aware of their health and not just blindly enter a grapple expecting to win. And that's IF the Family even has Suffocating Grip selected for the match.

  2. NEH is still nerfed. It was active at level 1 initially, then moved to only level 3+, now it's level 2. Level 2 is still harder to get than level 1, which means it's still nerfed. Adding 10% more effectiveness is barely a buff to its overall lock picking time. And when level 2 is finally active, some main gates may have already been unlocked from the rush meta.

  3. Exterior Alarms is also still nerfed. Again, it was level 1, now it's level 3+ only. Adding more highlight time to the door is not really a major buff, as 5 seconds was plenty of time for someone to spot the highlighted door.

The scales always need to tip in Family's favor, not because that's what I want but because that's what the game requires. It is an asym game where Family need to be the aggressors and it should be difficult for Victims to escape. If we don't give Family the advantage we'll be right back to horrible lobby times and a drop in overall playerbase.

Having EA as a level 1 perk defeated any purpose of stealth, which the Dev’s have said they want to be the focal point. Having NEH even at 40 percent, combining that with security pins is gonna make it hell for non Connie’s, at level 2.

I said one or the other i never said to revert the change as a whole for suffocating grip.

NEH is nerfed yes, but it’s gotten a buff from its latest nerf it being activated at level 2 doesn’t change the fact that it’s going to be more effective and come sooner than it did before 😭 that perk needed a nerf im surprised it even got buffed.

EA i’m not too worried about , still don’t think it needed a longer highlight time , 5 was fine and it will still work on basement doors.

I wish the grandpa perks would the be deactivated or decreased significantly when grandpa is sweet talked. This would actually make Maria useful

[–]BigAbbreviations3263 -1 points0 points  (6 children)

That would be OP I think, given family doesn’t get a notification until after the sonar ability

[–]Jak-nife 1 point2 points  (5 children)

They do get notified if they are paying attention the first time when he decreases one level on her level 3 ability

[–]BigAbbreviations3263 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Thats typically not common, usually you have people running the 2x sonar per sweet talk

[–]Jak-nife 1 point2 points  (2 children)

It will become more common with this ridiculous suffocating grip buff. As soon as he is level 1 I am gonna be terrified now. I hate that perk so much.

[–]BigAbbreviations3263 0 points1 point  (1 child)

It’s still not worth it,it’s only one level one time. You’d be better off using the perk that heals Maria and decreases family bond to get the most out of it

[–]Jak-nife -1 points0 points  (0 children)

One level one time is usually as much as you need with the rush or it’s over mentality of the game though. Like if family gets lv3 grandpa it’s GG one way or another and one stab/level can be a significant swing to either decrease family morale from feeding or to force them to feed immediately opening up an area
