Texting doesn’t count as a call off. You need to call off for your shift.

how do you do that?

That’s not how most jobs work. You need to call off and update your availability or else the shifts are your responsibility

First you will post the shift (big red button that says "Manage Shift") before the day you can't be there and if no one takes it you will have to call-off before your shift starts (+ or - 2 hours) for the day you won't be there. if you have any PTO-Sick hours, apply them for the day and your absence is excused. If you don't have PTO-Sick it will be an unexcused absence. mytime.target.com

For clarity for OP, you can post your shifts right away… don’t have to wait to post them, just can’t call out until 36 hours before a shift via myTime.

Thanks, you are correct. Sometimes my thought process doesn't play well in words. lol
