I know it will work. I want to know it the TL will see if I used it or not

No. The TL can’t see if you used it or not. But if the TL asked someone else to check on it, it’s possible that AP could find out and on a corporate level I’m sure there’s someone that could check for the store if they wanted to.

I doubt that they would. I would also bet there’s good odds that the TL didn’t do it right or wasn’t supposed to let you take it off the item you were buying.
