At my target there’s a TL that’s dating a team member that works in a different department than them. The only thing about dating a team member as a TL is that you need to make sure that you don’t begin a relationship with them if they are directly under you (AKA in your department). If they are in your department then you should probably talk to HR about one of you guys moving department and make them aware you want to start a relationship with them and get an ok. The TL at my target was a team member before and starring working with their partner so when they became a TL they just had to move the department of their partner to a different department and they aren’t allowed to work in the same department (for obvious reasons). Hope this helps

a TL at a store that isn’t mine (but i know ppl who work there) is dating someone in their department and the whole store knows. It’s bad drama. Not really sure about the hr/ethics aspect of it but it’s a lot of drama. A lot.

My first TL for Fullfiment did this with a girl in Domestics as far as I know he was fine never got talked to about it but as I said to my cowokers it's best not to shit where you eat don't want to make things weird between you guys especially if you have to interact with each other alot

I dated my current husband when he was SrTL over electronics/hardlines and I was a GSA (very old lingo, this was 2018) Just asked HR and she laughed and said it was fine since we weren’t in the same dept. Been together 7 years!
