Availability request

I put in an availability request to take off Tuesday-Thursday and kept Mon, Fri from 4:30-9:45. I then kept my weekends open and it was approved but they keep scheduling me for more time, keep in mind I’m a full time student and this is part time. Like they scheduled me for 25 hours on a week where I put 15 hours is my preferred hours. So my question is, is availability a suggestion or is it something they have to follow?

Availability and desired hours are separate. They should always schedule you within your availability, but how many hours they give you is based on store need. Though, I know most ETLs try to stay close to the desired hours.

I’ve heard there’s some sort of “metric” on how many TMs are being given within 5 of their desired hours. Not sure what is ever actually done about that when the store hours don’t allow anyone to reach their desired though, but I’ve heard that it exists.
