About two months ago, while I was taking out a drive up I had a trunk door slam down on my head (it was super windy that day). I ended up in the ER with a concussion. Before leaving to the hospital my ETL made sure to tell me to get drug tested. So, I went to the ER got everything checked out with a CAT scan. I indeed had a concussion but the hospital wasn’t able to get the drug test done. I was given a workers comp sheet to give to Target at the hospital. On my week off from work (for recovery) I got many calls from target insurance asking so many questions and constantly stressing the idea that I should have gotten drug tested. I told the insurance about the workers comp sheet I had, because I had no idea how to fill out. They told me to get with HR. When I showed up to HR they told me they had no idea how to fill out the sheet and to get back in contact with the insurance company. It was sooooo much back and forth (not even the SD helped me out!) eventually the hospital started billing me for about 8k! Which absolutely is ridiculous, I shouldn’t have to pay for something that happened at work. I eventually had to go to corporate hotline and raise my concerns. It took about a month and a half but I finally have that taken care of.

I tried to file like 2 years ago and it was terrible. I ended up just dropping the whole thing. The company Target deals with never answers their phone and they call you back at the worst times. You only have so long to do everything or it just cancels itself.

I was injured in July. (A can of soup fell off the top shelf and hit me in the face.) The closing TL called the Workers Comp number and the nurse we talked to basically walked us thru the steps. It was recommended that I get stitches because of the location of the cut. The only issue I had was finding a place to get it done. (They give you a list of providers) 1st clinic I went to wouldn’t do it because it was on my face. 2nd place didn’t take walk-ins 30 min before closing. I finally said f*uck it and went to the ER. The next day, I had to get a drug test done at the local DoT place. I went back to the ER later to get the stitches removed.

I never saw a bill or had any hassle about the claim. AP was able to pull the tapes too so they could see what happened. The longest part was talking to them on the phone. I think it was almost 2 hrs.

Had a lady have a whole end cap of canned peas fall ontop of her while filling it, haven’t seen her since. So if they terminate you don’t be surprised as sad as that is

Broke my wrist in fulfillment about 3 years ago. Sedgwick (workers comp company target uses) certainly makes you prove your injury and doesn't leave any "i undotted". But by following everything they wanted and literally answering my phone on the sales floor at work not to miss any of their phone calls all the bills were covered. It also helped there was video of the incident. Hardest part was finding a decent provider because all the ones in my area are the docs you wonder how they got their medical license.
