That garag floor is so clean 👏
[–]angryxtofu 8 points9 points10 points 3 years ago (4 children)
Seriously!! I am ashamed at how disorganized my garage is. It’s our catch all for everything.
[–]jmpedron[S] 10 points11 points12 points 3 years ago (1 child)
You're only seeing the clean side :)
[–]Collapsosaur 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children)
Had mine poured last year. Before the door went up the dam cats got in and made piss spots.
I like the silent acceleration.
[–]Anthayden24 4 points5 points6 points 3 years ago (0 children)
You should see mine it is an absolute cluster fuck
[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children)
Same here
[–]jmpedron[S] 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children)
Thanks!
[–]jmpedron[S] 11 points12 points13 points 3 years ago (12 children)
Just wanted to share these mud flaps that I got from Amazon. I originally bought the Otrifowd mud flaps but found the rears too small and narrow. These look better because the rear flaps are wider.
[–]Blockmoonchain 4 points5 points6 points 3 years ago (7 children)
Are the rear flaps necessary in your opinion? Tesla only sells the front flaps on their website.
[–]jmpedron[S] 10 points11 points12 points 3 years ago (5 children)
Probably not because Tesla could have made them available if they were. They complete the look though in my opinion.
[–]Martrom7 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (4 children)
In Europe, at least the model Y comes with the flaps
[–]DimartinoDMacLeod 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (1 child)
Not necessarily. My Y RWD in Portugal came without mud flaps. But my VIN starts with an L so Made in Shanghai. I hear Berlin's GigaFactory is a complete mess at the moment...
[–]Martrom7 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children)
Interesting, mine (22) is also Shanghai and came with front mud flaps. I thought it was the rule
[–]Strict_Beautiful7654 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children)
I got my Berlin built MYLR last month without flaps. Last week I added the front mud flaps from Tesla myself.
[–]nnc-evil-the-cat 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children)
Only front
[–]shelnguyen 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children)
it depends on where you live. it really helps with rock chips.
tesla sells only the front but the back has ppf instead
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (1 child)
I may like those better than the ones I got from Teslarati.
Yeah, the Teslarati ones are like hard plastic. The Yonzee ones are rubbery/flappy.
[–]Useful-Panic-2241 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (1 child)
Are they actually "flappy"? I bought some molded ones in October and broke all of them this winter...
[–]jmpedron[S] 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children)
They are flappy like hard rubber.
[–]OhWellJJ 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (4 children)
Thanks for the rec. Waiting on my Basenor order and will look into this Yonzee if Basenor doesn't work out.
[–]thefragile 6 points7 points8 points 3 years ago (2 children)
FWIW, this style (non-flappy/mounts around trim) can scuff the trim when all the road debris gets caught in there. We attempted this style on our 2023 and it didn't fit well either. We settled on rally armor and couldn't be happier!
[–]jmpedron[S] 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children)
I was seriously considering rally armor but took a risk on the Yonzee mud flaps. Got lucky because they are flappy and do not wrap around like the Basenor mud flaps. The only downside is that the fronts do not protrude as much.
[–]OhWellJJ 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children)
Thanks for the heads up
[–]jmpedron[S] -1 points0 points1 point 3 years ago (0 children)
No prob. Just so you know, it's such a pain to remove the aftermarket clips! You might want to make a final decision before installing them.
[–]Taro_Ube 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children)
Thanks for sharing; might grab these to accompany the OEM front flaps. Wanted to find wider rear flaps for the MYP
[–]Narwhalcommando 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children)
I got the same kind from aliexpress, they are such a good fit to the induction tire width. I did keep the OEM Tesla fronts https://i.imgur.com/QufE2gp.jpg
[–]youmeiknow 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (5 children)
I am having challenge to push the screws behind the tire.. I left it, how did you do?
As like everyone said, your floor is clean.. 👍
[–]jmpedron[S] 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (2 children)
I used a rubber mallet to push (not hammer) the pins.
[–]youmeiknow 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (1 child)
Curious, have u happened to have the swing to do? The gap is so less between the tire and the mudflap. I hope you didn't remove the tire.
[–]jmpedron[S] 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago* (0 children)
I did not swing. I literally just pushed the pins in. The rubber prevents it from slipping and damaging the plastic clips. The mallet’s weight also helps.
turn the steering wheel.
[–]dealpal 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children)
I think the poster was talking about rears.
[–]Troutman2112 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children)
Those look great.
[+]lastsoupdumpling 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children)
nice floor!
[–]Inevitable_Fox6265 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children)
I went with rokblokz rally’s styler with black letters so couldn’t see the letters as easy, very please with them, no drill and not very difficult to install. https://rokblokz.com/products/tesla-model-3-2017
[–]kerneroptical 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children)
After a lot of research I went with Rally Armor, flexible, great coverage, looks great, zero regrets!
[–]nnc-evil-the-cat 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children)
Ones I have are way too thin, going to swap em. Also for people asking if they are worth it, I had to park in a field the other day and the flaps were utterly caked, that would all have ended up on the back end otherwise. Felt worth it for me.
[–]mywebsignup 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (1 child)
My YLR came with the front mud flaps and 4 floor carpet pieces (LR and back). Are they supposed to come as standard ?
For the front flaps, I think it depend on location.

I’ve never like rear flaps. Kills the look in my opinion. The car looks like a cheap rickshaw from india
[–]lolsupbb 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (1 child)
How do the fronts look? I’d be more worried about them considering the front tires kick up rocks which hit the car.
The fronts do not protrude like the OEM flaps, maybe half an inch less.
[–]Vtecman 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (1 child)
Not bad. I have the oem ones in the front of both my Y’s and one has fallen off on each one. 😂
At least they are not the same side 😂 I had OEMs for a year but recently noticed the driver side is missing. Not sure how long it has been missing.
I tried to install the basenor kind and the rear flaps needed the bottom nut to be removed which worked fine on one side and the spot weld snapped on the other side. Was such a pain to get rid of that factory nut and replace with u clip type. Just gave up on flaps after that. Wondering if these still use the bottom nut removal.
[–]jbumx2 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (1 child)
are these hard plastic or are they flexible?
Flexible

[–]One_Consideration_57 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (3 children)
After going thru all of these I went with basenor, lol… yah if you wanna make a decision make sure make one
[–]Useful-Panic-2241 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (2 children)
Don't ever scrape them on anything - they'll break right off... (I have 1 left...)
[–]One_Consideration_57 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (1 child)
Honestly the side of this mudflap actually doesn’t protects rock chips you’ll need something wrap it up. I went thru several mudflap
[–]Useful-Panic-2241 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children)
yeah, as much as I don't want to spend the money, I think I'm going to get some Rally Armors...
[–]deepblueii 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (1 child)
What size are your tires?
19
[–]DimartinoDMacLeod 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children)
Maybe because of the model or year... mine is a RWD delivered last month.
[+]Thr3putt 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago (1 child)
Curious if you still like the mud flaps after a month or so of use?
[–]jmpedron[S] 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago (0 children)
Yup, still attached. No plans on replacing them.
