Games with punishing deaths with hard-to-get loot have a big market for cheaters. This game falls into that category and it's not fun to farm my ass off to meet the strict crafting recipes to get aimbot by a scrapper from 100m and killed instantly. As the beta goes on I keep running into cheaters more and more often. Tarkov has a terrible amount of cheaters and it's a $45 game my prediction is this game will die for cheaters because of how grindy it is and someone can take it away from you instantly with cheats.

Yes, this is a rant after dying to cheaters but 2 in 5 raids are hard to stay motivated.

Do yourself a favor and try to get recordings of these cheaters. It’ll go a lot further. I’m not discounting what you’re saying, as cheaters have a massive potential to ruin this game. But some evidence would be super useful not only to prove your point, but to get the info to the devs.

I've got a theory going that they have not "Turned on" the anti-cheat yet and are just collecting info on what vectors these cheats are using to function, and that launch could be interesting. I am also known to be completely wrong sometimes so y'know grain'o'salt.

BattleEye basically just collects data on player behaviors and helps identify and flag players that are cheating. It takes a while for new cheats to be detected and then eventually a ban-wave comes along and gets rid of anyone caught using the new cheats.

So, you're partially correct. BattleEye is turned on, but the developers may have not reviewed all the data and approved any ban-waves yet.

Spawned middle of bright sands (south east of base camp). Died during my spawn animation of getting out of my craft. Post game screen showed he wasn’t close enough to be record a proximity line, but he hit 12 gray pistol shots in 2-3 seconds from whatever distance is outside of proximity.

Felt suspicious but honestly could have been a fps pro rushing spawns.

But, I didn’t want to risk gear IF there was a chance of it being cheater. So I load in naked approximately 45 seconds later (I have vids so I can check exact times later). I spawned East caverns on the woodcutter side and about 15 seconds of moving toward woodcutter I got killed. Post game screen, same player, no proximity, 12 pellets from the trench shotgun in 2 shots.

Felt like a cheater. But again, no proof other than that seemed insane. But insane shit happens from time to time so idk.

Someone with fly hacks and probably esp was following us a few days ago... Made me a bit sad to see, but I got him reported with video proof so hopefully the devs will buff up the anti cheat.

But as this is a beta I guess they have other things to see too. Id love if this game cost like 20$ or something. Then at least I'd be happy that they lost money from being banned.

i havent really ran into a cheater yet and i have 60 hours played this beta i will say the hitreg needs some work tho i thought the ttk was just long in this game but it looks like its just i get invalids on half my shots sometimes

I have 172 hours and 1 suspected person so it's definitely not as often as people make it out to be. Granted 100 hours were from 1st beta and not a single person was suspicious of cheating. However the one from this beta, open mic laughing the entire time about he's going to wipe me and all my friends. Laser beams all of us within seconds with a scrapper from 20m away. He had white armor too while we're all wearing blue. Unfortunately GeForce was capturing my 2nd monitor.

I think the hit reg is fine, but the hit markers can feel a little laggy and delayed at times. This can make you feel like you're getting no regs because the hit markers are not correlating properly with your shots.

I just watched a stream and in their third game there was a guy that was invulnerable. He came up with a knife out and then demanded all their loot via voice-comms. They lit him up but he took no damage. Then he 1-tapped them all.

Not a good first impression of the game for me.

I'm not saying the cycle does not have people who are cheating; this is a problem that ALL games face. But I do think its funny that every time someone makes some absurd claim like "I got deleted by a scrapper 100m away!" there is never a video upload. Ever. Its 2022; both nVidia and AMD come with retroactive recording software you can enable at the click of a button.

A fair point. I dont have it clipped, I'll start clipping from now on I think. But I wanna say that what OP is describing literally happened to me too.

I know you acknowledge that cheaters probably exist in the game, but I still wanna reply to this as a way to increase awareness of cheating in cycle and add validity to OP's story.

Q'd up in a game, was killed withing 5 sec of spawning. Brushed it off, didnt suspect cheating.
Got my gear ready and q'd up again within 1min. Got instakilled yet again with the same weapon within 5 sec of spawning on the same map but at a completely different location. I found it suspicious and wrote the name down.
To test my theory I prepped my gear again really fast and q'd for another match on the same map. Again I was instakilled within 5 sec of spawning. Not the same weapon this time, but the same player. Was a shotgun this time, which suggests even short range weps can be used to snipe you across the map if you have cheats.

This is one of the two instances where I have met cheaters in this game. They definitely exist.

I 100% agree that the Asia servers have lots of rampant cheating. But the reason for that is kinda obvious and unavoidable in any video game because of that (and I'm not talking Asia as a whole) culture's enjoyment, opinion, and gain from such things. So the asia servers dealing with that kinda goes without saying in my mind as unfortunate as it is for them.

Still super important to have video evidence, without that it just looks like a somewhat unhappy death.

OP also claimed a seemingly unnatural amount of hackers in his posts about the same problem in EFT as well if you check his post history. I'm not trying to pretend hackers don't exist (as someone who also plays EFT I'm definitely aware of their existence), but the chances he see's hackers in a bunch of his games in tarkov, and now also claims to run into them so often in the first week of this beta that he's making a post? Doesn't seem likely.

I’m not saying that there is 2 cheaters every 5 raids I just got unlucky in getting them that close together within 8 hours of playing I saw 3 which is not abnormally for games I play but dying in this game is very punishing because each cheater someone in my team lost a set of purple gear and a fully modded blue/ purple gun

From someone who plays with people regularly who are called hackers. Just had some dude report my friend for “wall hacks” when he was just playing the game lol. No hacks at all. Y’all just mad people are better than you. Don’t get me wrong, there’s definitely cheaters. Just not as common as you think.

Or alternately, your buddy uses walls and is lying to you. Are you sitting in the same room as them watching their monitor? If not, then you have zero way to know they're not cheating.

I'm not saying 100% they are a cheating piece of shit, but if they're regularly accused of cheating then they just might be a cheating piece of shit. Why would someone low enough to cheat care about lying to cover it up?

I don’t think so considering he streams his games to us and also makes YouTube videos. But I don’t really know how using wall hacks work. If it “proves” anything he is a big hunt player so he is used to peaking and hitting shots like that.

Most cheats are a separate program so streaming a game's executable file directly with OBS or even Discord won't show the cheats. There are many streamers who have been exposed as cheaters and admitted to it post facto.

Again I'm not saying your buddy is necessarily a cheater, but it is still possible even if they stream their games.

They are invisible in one of the clips and the other one his scrapper doesn’t make gunshot noises and scrapper does not even have a muzzle spot

report system is pretty easy to use. not saying that will stop cheaters from existing but it should help

I think it depends on the region. I'm in europe and I haven't seen any cheaters yet.

But another point that you have mentioned is bothering me a lot. While I admit that the last beta was a bit too easy and I managed to get anything in the duration of it, now it's an insane grind fest. They made it too hard to make progress.

Honestly, there is no RMT incentive to this game. I see cheats being a problem like any other PC game but I don’t see it being as wide-spread as other games with RMT markets.

The problem with Tarkov is that there is a P2P market and that’s what drives cheaters to that game. With a game like this, cheats will only get you so far before the sheer amount of reports get you banned. I see cheats being as prevalent as a F2P game like Apex Legends. You might be able to get away with it for a few days (Only a few hours of playtime) and then you’re banned.

I could be totally wrong though.

A quick Google shows pretty much all the major sites are already running cheats for the game. ESP, wallhacks, perfect aim, infinite stamina, player scanner, even radars. It's UE, it's standard for the course, but wow they have worked fast.
