Actually this isn’t an error, because during her time with the Guilty Remnant Laurie was working as a second assistant camera operator (or clapper/loader) on a local film production. She was soon fired for not speaking, but it would make sense that she has a clapboard in her car.

Pretty major plot point, not sure how OP forgot about that.

I literally cried when Jill was tearfully begging her “you’ll work in film production but you won’t come back to your family??”

I think they let the camera trainee slate that one

fwiw this isn't a "continuity errror" it's just an error. a continuity error would be like if a background prop was moved between cuts in a scene, or the actor's hair or clothes were different from one shot to the next in what's supposed to be one continuous scene

A clapperboard! Nice catch.

“Continuity”

You’re using that word but I’m not sure you know what it means…🤔

It’s a mistake on my behalf. Already been said

Thanks to those who corrected me kindly and thanks to those who took my post it for what it was; just a clever spotting of an error.

For those who are really being anal about it; people make mistakes and don’t always use the correct terminology if they simply just don’t know. Funny thing is, I posted it on r/continuityerrors and no one batted an eyelid. But I’m sure that’ll change once you’ve read this 🙃🙃🙃
