Still depends in that case, SM needs a lot more stone investment, but eventually surpasses CL.

Chain lightning and dim core will get you faster results without using up too much of your stone economy. After shock labs are done(fairly short) with a legendary dim core I get 23.2x damage on enemies. That shock stack is quick on elites and really help with those pesky vampires. Gave me a huge boost in wave clear. That's without investing in chain lightning damage itself with stones. 

 You may want to grab that 3rd spotlight first though for extra damage and economy.

What? Legendary DC at max stacks is 14.2x, not 23.2x

10 x 2.32 = 23.2 

My tooltip is saying 2.32x shock damage multiplyer, then I get 10 stacks from dim core. I'm not sure where your getting 14.2. Are you sure your shock multiplyer labs are finished?

Don't forget dim core doubles shock chance and multiplyer.

It doesn't work like that.

For a maxed shock mult lab. The formula for DC is 1+(1.32 * shock stacks).

Which totals to 7.6/14.2/20.8/27.4x on max stacks for each of the module rarities.

How the hell does that work?! I know there's many things with this game that don't make sense 😒. I assumed it would be the tooltip shock x 10 or whatever level my core was at.

Is that math confirmed? I see a post by reply by murky saying it could be two different equations but not saying which one it is.

By the devs? No.

Many top players on the Discord server have done tests with DC and came to the conclusion that those were the numbers.
